Star Quality

When Emily Pinder joined Trustmarque as an Internal Account Manager, she likely never imagined she’d become a finalist for the Rising Star category. Now an Account Manager, Emily’s drive to “do the best I can in all aspects of life to support my family” has been key to her success. Balancing the pressures of being a carer, she has maintained a high level of professionalism and commitment to her team. Brendan Harte, Corporate Sales Director, commended her for her “invaluable contributions and exceptional work ethic.” Emily’s journey exemplifies the dedication and resilience that set her apart.

Providing a Safe Space

L&D advisor, Kira Squire, a nominee for Mental Health Champion of the Year and Unsung Hero, has been a leader in mental health awareness since joining Trustmarque in 2023. Her personal experience with Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) and her certification as a Mental Health First Aider have enabled her to offer invaluable support to colleagues. Kira’s flexible and dependable nature extends beyond work; she’s also active in her community, serving as Vice-Chair of her amateur dramatic society while raising her 14-year-old daughter, Evie.

Similarly, People Partner, Jazmine Fleet has been at the forefront of mental health advocacy, especially during the pandemic. Her proactive approach to supporting colleagues and fostering a mental health-conscious culture has earned her a nomination for Mental Health Champion of the Year. Jazmine understands the importance of making mental health “an everyday topic of discussion”, helping individuals feel safe asking for support. For Jazmine, these awards are a crucial opportunity to highlight the vital work of mental health advocates in the workplace.

Technical Excellence

Representation of women in technical roles remains a challenge, but it’s one that our Assurance Consultant nominees like Jessica Winfield and Asma Zoghlami are tackling head-on. Jessica, nominated for both Technical Employee of the Year and Woman of the Year, uses her position to challenge outdated perceptions in the industry. Her work with NHS Wales and her passion for showing young girls that “a career in technology is not only possible but also rewarding”, underscore her commitment to bridging the gender gap.

Asma Zoghlami, shortlisted for Technical Employee of the Year, brings her expertise as a Ph.D. holder in computer science to the forefront of innovation at Acutest. Her work on generative AI and machine learning has not only advanced her team’s capabilities but also led to the publication of articles and conference papers. Asma’s drive to overcome challenges and her passion for innovation make her a standout in the technical arena.

Leading the Way

For us, leadership development for women is a priority. Through programmes like LEAD and Aspire, we’re creating opportunities for women to thrive and advance in their careers. Carly Madders, who hit her 10-year milestone at Livingstone this year, is a prime example of this. In 2024, she took on the role of interim Global Head of Customer Success and won the Living the Values award at our employee summit. Carly’s nomination for Role Model of the Year reflects her commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for women in tech, and her passion allowed her to “excel either myself or by helping and supporting other women.”

DEI and Customer Focus

Client Director Vivienne Williamson has made a strong impact in her first year at Trustmarque. Her active role in the Encircle DEI network and her focus on supporting customers have earned her a nomination for Sales Employee of the Year. Viv’s dedication and her drive to “be an active ally to women even when nobody is listening”, have created inclusive spaces and fostered a sense of community around her. Her passion has led to significant wins, including IT transformation contracts with new clients. Viv’s year exemplifies how a customer-focused, inclusive approach can drive both personal and professional success.

Good Luck, All!
